i really fucked up

Category: Life

there once was a girl who didn't have much. she had aspirations but no family's touch. out in the world she dared to go, but she had not the support or experience to know. beyond the hills was a hiding place, it whispered sweet lies right to her face. she saw it as a beautiful escape and ventured towards this lovely estate. inside there were no walls and as the girl looked around she found an old box right on the ground. her fingers grasped the splintering lid and then lifted the weight to see what the box hid. before she could gasp or catch her scream, she saw her worst nightmarish dream. in the box, silent, serene, lay not gold or wine or any nice thing. the girl stared down and staring right back were two haunting eyes clouded and black. seeing herself dead and decaying in a coffin in a house where evil things were playing, she bolted in fear to find the door only to find one box more. she looked back at the other, lid still ajar, and wondered how she got in this graveyard. still she must know what lies in the second, she bit her fear as her nightmare beckoned. this box was smaller and in the wood were engravings of flowers and toys and children playing. surely this couldn't be as bad as the first, but when she opened the lid her terror got worse. the child that lay in this mini casing was also herself the girl was facing. younger and fragile, it seemed almost alive. the girl fell back and started to cry. she began to remember where she went wrong, her whole life was such a sad song. running now away from this place, the girl got lost in a graveyard maze. how was she supposed to know that all those grave stones were her own? those who knew her might have said, she messed up allot, and now she's dead. if you listen really good, you can sometimes hear that girl running through the wood. away from the horror that she saw; away from her life and away from it all.

sad song

if you try too hard
and you know your not gonna make it
if you cry all day cause you know
theres no other way
im telling you now youve got to look
up to the sky and perservere!
im telling you how youve got to try
to hold on for another year
this is what we live for
its why we're beautiful
this is what we die to protect
we cant fight it anymore
and im telling you now youve got to see
that this is us in make believe
and im telling you how to pass the test
cause ive failed...a thousand times
if you die every day cause you know
no ones leaning on you
and if you lie to forget
the pain they put you through
im telling you now ive been there too
just a different name, but the same old tune
and im telling you how, how to forget
is to remember
all of it!

aw how sweet!!

there once was a princess who lived in a shoe.she had so many heartaches she didn't know what to do.so she ran away to go live alone,on an island where nobody would know.she dug herself a hole and built a big house, using boughs for chairs and tears for a couch.once she ventured out into the brush, and found a man whos name was dutch.he told her stories of far away lands,of far away oceans and golden sands.he told her that life would be better one day and kissed her hand the proper way.she smiled to him and he took her home, and for the first time she wasn't alone.very soon they became close friends, inseperable, love with no end. he gave her a ring and she gave him her tears,he dried them up and promised her years.she showed him her heart that was crumpled up,he showed her his that was torn and cut.together they took their hearts apart, and traded pieces and cut out parts. they stuck and glued and tied and sewed,to make one big heart they both could own.

What does it mean to be human?

While researching this paper I found tons of sites trying to sell me the smartest sounding way to describe what a human being really is. An animal, says one site. An evolved chimp, says another. The highest form of life, says even another. Beans, says a jokester, Human Beans. However many websites I visited in search for the best answer, it did not help in the least bit to finding the perfect answer to the very unanswerable question. What are Humans? Thusly, I forced myself to shut off the internet and type my paper the old fashioned way. So, what is a human?

Being human means many different things, depending on who you ask. A human has emotions, a lifestyle, and choices to make. How we live, love, and what we like to eat … these are factors that make us human. Humans worry about living when they are young, and they worry about death when they are old. Humans desire to go beyond their comfort zone. This is a unique human-only quality. For example, a person afraid of heights may decide to take sky-diving to overcome the fear.

Another way to define humanism is to compare humans with animals. For example, humans may be involved in a multi-cultural or inter-racial relationship if they so choose. This is unheard of in the animal kingdom. Animals mate with their own kind; Red Cardinals with Red Cardinals, Blue Jays with Blue Jays, Cats with Cats, etc.

Humans also make choices in the rearing of their offspring. A human may even decide to end a pregnancy. An animal, on the other hand, does not terminate a pregnancy or have any rights. A dog, for example, pregnant with puppies, does not have the ability to choose whether having the puppies will affect its future career or present relationships.

One more comparison between animals and humans is the trait of humans to think and reason and create beyond their own self. For example, when a cow makes milk, it does not say, “Oh, I just made milk. I could make more milk and sell it to make money”. No, a cow makes just enough for its own calf. Humans, on the other hand, may choose create beyond themselves. For example, a man may grow tomatoes in his garden for his family. Seeing that the tomatoes are rather big and exceptionally delicious due to great soil, this man may then decide to grow more tomatoes than he and his family need in order to sell them to others for profit.

Being human means many different things. Primary points that are raised in the definition of humanism are emotions, lifestyles, choices, living and dying. These seem to be the primary factors that humans are consumed with on a daily basis. In order to stay healthy, humans have a daily balancing act to perform. Keeping these things into perspective seems to be the typical human’s daily goal. Being human is making mistakes and overcoming fears. It is responsibilities and choices made.
